The outstanding feature of the
photograph in a simple studio setting is the realism and feeling of immediacy
achieved by the forward projection of the model toward the camera Ð an effect
which is currently used to good advantage on television. This is an excellent
example of our contention that the photographer has it all over the illustrator
when it comes to making models literally "jump out of the picture."
